Connecting stakeholder perspectives through Evidence-Based Design for ALN Schools
Carly Parramore, AtkinsRéalis
This presentation demonstrates how a mixed-method, evidence-based approach connected insights from ALN school staff and students to inform design. Using pictorial questionnaires as part of a mixed method approach to stakeholder engagement, we identified key themes across staff and student experience including the importance of quiet spaces, social interaction and flexible areas that support student choice. Insights were synthesised into adjacency maps and recommendations, translating evidence into actionable design strategies.
