Public and Private Sector Collaboration – Delivering schools through MIM and the lessons we’ve learnt

30 Jun 2026
Lecture Theatre
WEPCo, in partnership with Flintshire County Council (FCC) and Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council, has delivered four new schools in Wales through the Mutual Investment Model (MIM), including the Mynydd Isa Campus. As the first operational MIM education projects, they offer valuable insight into how public and private sectors can collaborate effectively. This presentation will share lessons learnt from planning, design, construction, and early operation, with perspectives from FCC and the Mynydd Isa Campus team. It will explore emerging successes, challenges, and behaviours that support strong partnership working in delivering modern learning environments
