Please note that there is no parking onsite, the car parking in the surrounding areas operates on a pay and display basis, alternatively there are parking options within walking distance:

Driving

From the M4 West

  • Exit M4 at Junction 32 and follow the A470 signs for Cardiff
  • Warning: Speed Cameras along the A470
  • As you near the city centre you will reach the Gabalfa Interchange / Flyover
  • Continue over this onto North Road (still A470)
  • After approximately a mile, take the left fork (signposted Cardiff University) onto Colum Road
  • At the traffic lights, continue straight onto Park Place and continue for a short distance. The Centre for Student Life will be on the left-hand side.

From the M4 East

  • Leave the M4 at Junction 29 (signposted Cardiff E and S), then join the A48(M) motorway
  • End of motorway, keep forward onto the A48. Entering Cardiff. Keep forward (signposted City Centre)
  • Warning: Speed Cameras along the A48
  • Stay in the left-hand lane (signposted City Centre A470), then at the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto North Road
  • Continue forward, then merge onto North Road – A470
  • Warning: Speed Cameras along the A470
  • After approximately a mile, take the left fork (signposted Cardiff University) onto Colum Road
  • At the traffic lights, continue straight onto Park Place and continue for a short distance. The Centre for Student Life will be on the left-hand side.

Public Transport

For those travelling by train or bus to Cardiff, the Centre for Student Life, Cardiff University is approximately a 20-minute walk from Cardiff Central Station. The nearest station is Cathays which is approximately a 5-minute walk to the Centre for Student Life. Alternatively, you can get a taxi from the city centre. Please note this cost may change depending on traffic flow. Please ask the driver to drop you off at the Centre for Student Life on Park Place.
